Pete is a freelance theatre director currently working for companies in London and the South of England. Recent work include All's Well That Ends Well (Young Vic), La Purpura De La Rosa, Orlando (both Dartington International Summer School), Nos Vies En Rose (Birmingham Hippodrome/National Youth Music Theatre), The Pillars Of Society (Webber Douglas Academy), When We Dead Awaken, (Royal National Theatre Studio).

He has a tremendous interest in education at all levels, and has worked with over 5000 young people across the UK during the past four years. In 1999 and 2000 he ran the education department at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, London, quadrupling its output, as well as directing the children's show in conjunction with London Zoo! Immediately after this he was asked to work as assistant director to acclaimed actress Fiona Shaw on the Royal National Theatre's education tour of Widowers' Houses, then asked to return to be associate director on the RNT's tour of Sparkleshark.

In 2002 the Royal Shakespeare Company asked him to devise the education programme for their RSC @The Roundhouse - the Late Plays Season, which lasted over a nine month period operating both in London and Stratford-upon-Avon. During this he worked with young people, adults, academics, writers, actors, directors and designers, to create a flourishing programme of education for the season.

More recently he has worked at Webber Douglas Academy and at Guildford School of Acting, teaching and directing acting students. This has been combined with fully professional projects at the Young Vic in London, and Dartington International Summer School, England. Planned future projects include the Purcell opera The Fairy Queen, and the development of Nos Vies En Rose into a schools touring show for the Young Vic.

Pete is a graduate of the University of York, England
